New 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Has Experts Talking

Mercedes-Benz has always impressed us with the cars that they produce and the same is true for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class which will be available in many different body and powertrain offerings. Since Mercedes-Benz is keeping the details hush hush there have been many spy photos and projections to get the experts talking.

At this point in time, Mercedes-Benz of Santa Rosa is happy to add to that mound with a few new rumors surrounding the 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class convertible variant. According to insider reports, Mercedes-Benz is eager to put out a two-door cabrio that will be partially based off of the automaker's previous Ocean Drive concept. For those who don't remember, the Ocean Drive made its debut as a concept sedan convertible back in 2007 and boasted a soft-top retractable roof with a glamorous body.

How closely will the forthcoming S-Class convertible resemble the former Mercedes-Benz concept? Industry experts say the next-generation model will mimic the late concept's smooth, retractable top but get two-doors instead of four. This will easily keep the S-Class cabrio in-line with its coupe kin.

Powertrain and features are still under wraps for the convertible however, Mercedes-Benz of Santa Rosa can tell you the airy auto will boast the same Mercedes-Benz Airscarf neck-warming technology found in the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class roadster.
