Now, the German auto maker is taking on Fuel Cell Vehicles and alternative energy.

Looking similar to the already available crossover, Mercedes-Benz R-Class, the FCV is composed of a hydrogen fuel cell to power the vehicle. The car is based off a previous concept, seen during the F-Cell World Drive. The company plans on releasing their FCV for 2014.

Speaking at recent press event, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said, "The product is ready for the market, technically. We have proven that by sending three vehicles with a fuel cell around the globe without any relevant problems." Without providing further information, Zetsche indicated the production vehicle would have a range of 250 miles.1
